A more personal photography workshop with award winning photographer Tommy White.
This High Country guided tour will take you to the lesser known locations. A sunrise or sunset is mostly on tap for us, along with a short hike. While on location, we’ll enjoy breaktaking views and cover any questions about composition and shooting technique. I always give my clients the flexibility to design the day as they wish and we’ll cover anything you like. My goal is to ensure you leave with a great experience, great images and more information than you can handle. I promise, the information I share will give you focus and a good solid vision on how to achieve your goals.
Your Lightroom and Photoshop sessions are recorded, so you can watch the video over and over again in the comfort of your own home.
My “go to” software is usually Adobe Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC and we can dive as deep into workflow as you like. This can be anything from the basics in Lightroom, an intro to Photoshop, to advanced techniques, including exposure blending and luminosity masking. On a full day adventure, the sky’s the limit! Tell me your vision and what you want to learn and we’ll work up a day just for you!
Areas we will cover include, camera settings, creative composition, technique, the visionary process, the use of filters, post processing and much, much more. An image review is included in each session.
If you’re a representative of a Photography Club, please contact me directly at: 828-773-0369 or by e-mail at: [email protected] I’m more than happy to design a presentation for your group that best fits your need.
First of all, welcome!
If you’re considering a more individualized instruction, Congratulations! You’re taking the next step towards polishing your work and beginning a much more personalized, creative journey in photography.
These sessions are designed specifically to enhance and improve your work efficiency and creativity. We usually start off by taking a look at your current photography and your goals. From there we design a custom package to address all of your needs. I’ll fill in the rest with anything that will partner with your vision.
I am open to covering topics such as fundamentals of photography, to include: Camera settings, Composition, Exposure and Histogram, Hyper-focal distance, RAW, White Balance, Bracketing, High Dynamic Range (HDR), and use of filtration. You’ll learn essential hands-on skills throughout the day that will enhance your image making and give you the tools to address difficult shooting conditions. Afterwards we will also explore options on the computer. How to load, catalog and meta tag your images for maximum exposure. Preparing your images in Adobe Lightroom CC for non-destructive retouching. Then, we’ll explore the power of Adobe Photoshop CC with Exposure blending, Luminosity Masking and Panoramas. We will also touch on image output for digital, print and web use. Last, but not least, we will cover monitor calibration and why it is so important.
We will be using, Lightroom CC, Photoshop CC, Nik Suite and Luminosity Masks(Tony Kuyper) in your session.
