Join award winning landscape photographers Tommy White and Alistair Nicol on an exploration of the incredible Blue Ridge backcountry. On this weekend Workshop, the photographers will lead you backpacking in to the backcountry for a three day camp out! We will explore remote regions that aren’t accessible to the average sunrise photographer. These locations are moderate in difficulty, but we will take our time getting there and returning. Once there, you are free to explore and accompany the photographers as they explore photo ops in a variety of locations with an assortment subjects. If you have a flare for adventure and love the great outdoors, this trip is definitely for you!
What to expect:
A full three days and nights of adventure and shooting including both sunrise and sunset locations in the backcountry of the North Carolina backcountry! Our focus will be a mixed variety of long range vistas, Grassy Knolls, wildflowers, trails and sunrise and sunsets. We will also be exploring opportunities with longer exposures and Astrophotography.

Enrollment is limited to 8, so you will receive individual attention to address your particular needs. You’ll learn essential skills throughout the weekend that will enhance your image making in the future.
Important: Hikes can vary in difficulty levels and can reach up to 1 mile or more. No one knows your condition and fitness level better than you. We will be in the mountain where terrain can be rocky and steep. Your safety is always our highest priority. Helping us by being prepared will ensure you have a safe and productive trip.

*An Itinerary and Equipment list will be sent out one month prior to the trip. A good Camera backpack is essential to reach our destinations.
You are required to make the minimum deposit to hold your spot. Full payment of the workshop tuition is required within 30 days of the workshop start date, otherwise you risk forfeiting your deposit and opening your space to another individual.
Cancellations made more than 60 days before the event date may choose to reschedule for another workshop date or request a refund minus a 20% admin fee. Cancellations made less than 60 days before the event date are only eligible for rescheduling or a refund if the opening can be rebooked.
